STFC Goalkeeper Evening

Steve Hale Goalkeeping School / STFC Goalkeeper Evening Great Success!

The session on Monday 22nd February with Swindon Town Scholars Callum Antell and Jamie Stephens along with First Year professional Mark Scott proved a great success. Steve put the three full time goalkeepers through their paces for all young goalkeepers to see the standards to which they should aspire to. Following on from this the three young goalkeepers worked with small groups and put on some handling and footwork drills and finished the evening answering questions from both Steve Hale Goalkeeping School members and their parents about a whole range of topics.

"Just returned from China and was delighted to hear how much Ross enjoyed Monday night's training with the Swindon Goalkeepers. He was thrilled with the evening and apparently received some very complimentary comments from Callum and Jamie. It has inspired him to train harder and given him greater confidence" (Parent)

"Although i couldn't be there for this session due to work Steve, Conor really enjoyed the session, I talked to him the following morning and he was as positive about goalkeeping as i've seen him , not only the coaching but the Q & A session and the lads answers, that when they were younger they were worried about shouting to players, that they struggled to kick from the floor & that we all make errors was a great help & relief to him, he really enjoyed Callum's session so thanks to you & the lads for the time they gave to the kids." (Parent)

"I have worked with all three goalkeepers over the past couple of seasons in my role as one of the goalkeeping coaches at Swindon Town and all three are good goalkeepers and great lads as well. All three did me proud in the way that they worked, the way that they coached the young goalkeepers and their honest answers on their experiences so far in the Q & A session at the end and this was a valuable experience for all my members and parents" Steve Hale
