Obviously its common knowledge now that Wes Foderingham is leaving Swindon Town and moving on to pastures new after 4 years at the club.

It’s every child’s dream to step out at Wembley in a final and if you can’t do that as a player the next best thing is as a coach or manager. I feel extremely fortunate to have had that privilege as there are bigger name and better coaches than me in the game who haven’t managed it so I feel proud to say I have.

A big thank you to all parents, young goalkeepers and coaches for all your efforts during the 2014-2015 season.

With just two sessions left this season I thought it was time to pen an end of season blog.

After 7 seasons based at Ruskin Junior School we moved to a new venue being based this season at Kingsdown School. The move was helped by a sponsor who wanted to remain anonymous and I can’t thank him enough for his support this season as moving to the improved facilities has been great for the Goalkeeping School.

I noticed that I haven't written a blog since way back in September and having covered a number of goalkeeping matters in the past I asked for ideas from people who follow my Goalkeeping School Facebook page.

There were a few responses with ideas to discuss, some were going over old ground that I have spoken about before but a few ideas are worth discussing.

Under 12 Goalkeeper Needed

Highworth Town Juniors Under 12 T are looking for a goal keeper. We train on Thursday 7-8pm @futsal during the winter months and Highworth in the summer. We are an inclusive club with fantastic facilities that believes in a competitive but fun approach to football.

Happy Christmas!

Myself and my staff would like to wish all goalkeepers and their parents a very Happy Christmas and thanks for all your hard work and effort throughout 2014.

My goalkeeping school has gone from strength to strength, something which I am very proud of and I hope all the young goalkeepers have and are benefitting and developing both on the pitch and also socially with their general life skills which we encourage in our sessions.

Reminder To Parents

To all parents of existing Goalkeeping School members.

Unless pouring with rain and therefore paperwork too wet to sign (we still like to watch to make sure that you collect your child however) please be reminded that you are required to come down to the 3G pitch and sign the register to say you have collected your child for "Safeguarding Children" purposes.
