Fantastic Final Figure Raised for Calm Charity!

Steve Hale Goalkeeping School set out to raise as much money as possible for a Swindon based charity www.calmcharity.org who support families of children who are suffering from Cancer or Leukaemia.

We did this through a sponsored penalty shoot out involving 38 young goalkeepers, donations collected and an auction of signed football items.

I would like to thank all goalkeepers who took part in the shoot out along with their parents for collecting sponsorship. I would also like to thank Nathan Thompson and Jon Obika of Swindon Town, Wes Foderingham of Glasgow Rangers and Andy Mulliner from Man City for organising signed items for me to auction and to all the people who bid on those items, with the majority being Swindon Town fans. I would finally like to thank all the people who gave donations including one gentleman who made a very generous contribution.

After raising £2,055.00 back in 2010 for the Robbie Davies appeal, I set out to try and beat that but I didn’t expect to beat it by so far!

I am proud to be able to announce that a final total of £5,733.73 was raised for such a worthy cause!

Pictured in the gallery are the 3 auction winners and 3 of the 5 top fundraising young goalkeepers who received "Goodie Bags" for their top efforts!
